SCOTT LAKE, WA – According to KIRO 7, a hit-and-run driver rear-ended a motorcyclist Saturday.
The motorcyclist landed on the windshield of the car after being struck from behind. The driver then slammed the brakes, causing the motorcyclist to slide off the vehicle. The driver then ran over the motorcyclist.
The driver dragged the motorcyclist and motorcycle a few hundred feet. They then exited their vehicle and fled the scene on foot.
Deputies with a K9 located the suspect. Authorities charged the driver with DUI, vehicular assault, and felony hit-and-run.
It is unclear exactly where the incident took place in Scott Lake.
