SEATTLE, WA – According to FOX 13, authorities are not going to charge the owner of a vehicle that rolled down a hill and fatally struck a 12-year-old near Washington Middle School on March 6.

A female driver did not leave her car in park, and it rolled down a hill 75 yards before running over a 12-year-old and two other students who were walking on their way to recess around 1 p.m.

Authorities determined the SUV’s owner was not impaired.

Police worked with prosecutors and said they cannot determine the applicable criminal charges.

Seattle Municipal Court issued the SUV’s owner violations for class of vehicle, fire hydrant, parallel parking-right hand side, and stopping and securing car when parking.
