News: Wrong-way driver strikes, injures man riding scooter near Occidental Square

SEATTLE, WA – According to KIRO 7, a driver collided with and hurt a man riding a scooter on 1st Avenue South near Occidental Square early Monday morning.

The driver was heading the wrong way on 1st Avenue South when they struck the victim around 2:15 a.m.

First responders transported the victim to an area hospital in critical condition.

Following the collision, the driver fled the scene.

Officials have not released information on the suspect’s vehicle or the victim’s identity.

Authorities urge anyone with information concerning the incident to call SPD’s non-emergency line at 206-625-5011.
