LAKE TAPPS, WA – According to KOMO News, one person died in a two-vehicle collision on 214th Avenue East Tuesday evening.
A 26-year-old man allegedly fled the scene of a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on the 2100 block of 214th Avenue East. As he was speeding from the scene, he lost control of the vehicle and slid into oncoming traffic before colliding with a northbound car.
The 25-year-old man was thrown from his vehicle during the crash. First responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
Emergency crews transported the other driver, a 43-year-old man, to an area hospital.
Following the collision, authorities closed down the area to process the scene.
