LYNDEN, WA – One person died in a school bus crash in Lynden Thursday morning, according to KING 5.
A person driving a white SUV was heading east when they collided with the school bus driven by Annette Lyon on the 2000 block of Main Street around 8 a.m.
First responders pronounced Lyon dead at the scene and transported the SUV driver to an area hospital.
No students were on the bus at the time of the accident.
The Lynden Police Department is investigating the incident. They have not determined whether impairment played a role in the school bus collision.
Authorities urge anyone who saw the crash or has footage of it to contact them.
