SEATTLE, WA – Authorities arrested a man they say is responsible for a deadly hit-and-run collision near Rainier Vista on April 18, according to KING 5.
Tyler Shane O’Brien, 43, was allegedly riding a red motorcycle south on Martin Luther King Jr. Way South when he sped through the intersection with South Alaska Street and collided with Mia Huang, 57, and Xing Chen, 59, while they were walking in the crosswalk. O’Brien then reportedly fled the scene.
First responders transported Huang to an area hospital with head trauma. She died two days later. Chen suffered injuries to his spine and right knee.
Authorities arrested O’Brien on Monday. They charged him with felony hit-and-run, vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, and driving with a license suspended/revoked.
O’Brien will enter his plea on May 19.
